No. Bonjour-santé members can book a virtual appointment with the liaison nurses at any time, even if they do not have a medical referral. The nurses will assess your situation, answer your questions, and guide you to the most appropriate resources. If a referral is required to access the service or test you need, they will explain the next steps.

The liaison nurses do everything they can to help you find the right appointment, in the right place, as quickly as possible. They have extensive knowledge of the healthcare system and available resources, and can assist with the process, submit the required documents, and provide follow-up when needed. However, they cannot bypass wait lists or change the clinical priority established by physicians.

The liaison nurses can help you find a wide range of healthcare services, including appointments with medical specialists, specialised tests (MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, colonoscopy, ECG, etc.), medical imaging services, home care services, and paramedical professionals such as physiotherapists, psychologists, dietitians and more.
